Nepal Tourism Board Appeal |
Nepal suffered heavy loss of lives and property by the devastating earthquake of April 25th, 2015, and subsequent powerful aftershocks. Tourism, one of the main pillars of the national economy, has been affected and as a result tourism infrastructure as well as cultural heritage and monuments are now in fragile and critical condition. In this regard, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has established a fund named,Tourism and Archaeological Heritage Recovery Fund as a good initiation of public-private partnerships towards tourism recovery. The seed money amounting to Rs.100 million has been deposited by NTB at Nabil Bank Ltd., Teendhara, Kathmandu with account number 1701017500515. Executive Committee of NTB has decided to appeal development partners, national and international organizations and well-wishers working on tourism promotion and conservation of archeological heritage for meaningful contribution to the Fund. Hence, NTB appeals the concerned to contribute on tourism recovery campaign for beautiful and safe reconstruction of tourism infrastructure and archeological heritage sites with added amenities.
