NEPAL TRAVEL BOOK: The sudden gushing of blood form the nose can cause discomfort and can make you feel embarrassed. Here are some tips on how to stop nosebleeds:
  1. The simplest remedy for a bloody nose is the time-honored pinch cure. Sit up in a straight line with your head tilted a little forward (to keep the blood from running down your throat). Lightly blow out any clots that could prevent a vessel from sealing. Then squeeze the soft part of your nose and press firmly toward your face. Grasp that position for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Using a small square of brown paper from a bag sprinkled with salt; still insertion a dime or a small, flat button under your upper lip instead of a tissue.
  3. Applying a cold ice pack next to the bleeding nostril will slender the blood vessels in the nose to slow the spurting. This will keep your bleeding nostril under manage and soon bring it to a stop in total.
