How to Get Rid of Cold Sores
NEPAL TRAVEL BOOK, KATHMANDU, FEB 09 2015:: Cold sores appear around the regions of mouth. Due to this, cold sores of fever blister take away all the charm of your face, no matter how beautiful or handsome face you have. Here are some tips on How to Get Rid of Cold Sores:
  1. Apply ice every ten minutes for an hour. This procedure may avert the progress of the virus from the nerve to the skin.
  2. Rub alcohol in the infected area. This will dry out the cold sore, which fastens the healing process.
  3. Set a moist tea bag on the cold sore for five minutes or so a couple times a day until the cold sore scabs over and clears up. Consider pressing a warm tea bag on the blisters for something like 30 minutes.
  4. Create a paste from “instant” coffee and water and apply to cold sore.
  5. Softly rub aloe vera gel or oil on the sores.
  6. Lemon balm extract helps to lessen symptoms and speeds up healing.
  7. Immerse a cotton ball or swab in some cold milk and dab it or apply lightly over the sore.
  8. Using peppermint oil has also been found to be very helpful. Peppermint oil can penetrate the skin and its prevailing antiviral properties can have a curing effect on cold sores.
  9. Small pieces of raw onion can be applied straight on the cold sores for treating and preventing cold sores from getting bad.
  10. Improve your immune system by taking lots of vitamin C with vitamin B12 and lysine for cold sores. This has shown major reduction in the occurrence of cold sores.
  11. Stop eating acidic foods like oranges, tomatoes or drinking sodas.
  12. Apply garlic paste and you can also eat one or two garlic cloves to heal them.
  13. You can apply pure vanilla extract on your sore at least four times a day. It will vanish within a day
  14. You can compress a paracetamol tablet and make a thick paste out of it. Then rub this paste over it. It won’t be visible the next day.
  15. Apply a bit of toothpaste on it and watch it dry out. You can apply it at night so that it remains on it for a longer time.
