Krishan Mandir

Krishan Mandir
Near the Royal Palace, there is a magnificient example of ancient Nepalese sculpture, the Krishan Mandir. It is the only temple in Nepal having 21 shrines and is completly made of stones, which is supposed to be the forest specimen of shikhara style architecture. Most of the important scenes from the ancient Hindu epics-the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, have been engraved on its friezes.
