Domestic tourism, (which is also called Internal Tourism), refers to where the tourist travels within their own country, but visiting a different city to the one in which they live.
This doesn’t bring valuable foreign currency into the country, but it does offer many of the other advantages of Inbound tourism: increased employment opportunities, the development of infrastructure, development in rural areas, increased tax revenues from economic activity, the opportunity for people to visit new and interesting places, to experience new things and the chance for both the tourist and the service provider to benefit from contact with others.
