Schools remain closed for 40 days in Nawalaparasi

Sep 17, 2015- The private and public schools in the southern belt of the district including the district headquarters, Parasi, have remained closed for the past 40 days due to various protests and general strike.

Although the protesting sides had agreed to let the schools resume in morning shifts, they are still closed due to security threats.

The schools in the areas were opened on Sunday but could not continue from the next day as the protestors torched a bus of the Little Angels Higher Secondary School in the district on Monday.

Locals have complained of the sheer negligence of concerned bodies to take initiation to resume the schools.
