According to Bishnu Bahadur Dware, Exam Controller, 47.43 percent of the total 426,214 examinees have passed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations under regular category.
Over 574,000 students had appeared in the board exams that were held from March 19 to 29.
As many as 426,214 students appeared as regulars whereas 145,183 sat as exempted ones in the exams.
For the first time, the technical subject examinees will receive their results under the new grading system.
Some 32,88 students of technical subjects appeared in the SLC, 2,037 of whom were boys and 1,252 girls.
For the first time in the history of SLC exams, girls outnumbered boys as examinees.
A total of 43.92 percent of examinees had passed the SLC examinations last year.
Similarly, 41.57 percent of examinees had passed the exams in 2013, while in 2012, 46.6 percent had crossed the Iron Gate.
Although the office had initially predicted a two week's delay in publishing the results due to massive April 25 earthquake, it managed to speed up preparations in the last one month.
