Nepal made their presence feel at SATTE, Delhi

NEPAL TRAVEL BOOK, DELHI, FEB 04 2015: Nepal Tourism Board along with ten prominent tour companies of Nepal participated SATTE 2015 in New Delhi from January 29 to 31, 2015. Over the years, SATTE, which is South Asia’s leading travel and tourism event, has evolved into an exceptional platform for networking and building long-term business ties.

Over 7500 visitors came to SATTE 2015 to interact with 650 exhibitors including domestic as well as international buyers and professionals from across the travel, tourism and hospitality industry along with State Tourism Boards. More than 50 countries had participated in the event. SATTE being purely a business-to-business (B2B) event, the B2B session of the program was dedicated to trade exchange where Nepalese tour operators and visiting travel trade representatives had the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interactions and business dealings. Travel trade representatives from across the world had extensive interactions with the Nepalese tour operators, which helped towards enhancing the existing business and forging new alliances.


The private sector participants from Nepal had business appointments fixed prior to the event with many Indian tour operators, in order to tap the summer holiday season for Indians. Officials of Nepal Tourism Board, Mr. Dhruba Rai, Officiating Director, Corporate Services and Mrs Janaki Upadhyay, Officer In-charge India Desk interacted with the visiting buyers, professionals. Besides the customary destinations like Kathmandu and Pokhara, many buyers also inquired about the new destinations. Many media companies interacted with the NTB official about promoting Nepal effectively through their magazines and websites.

The ten participants were Hotel Annapurna and Fishtail Lodge, Hotel Sambala, KGH Group of Hotels, Samrat Tours & Travels, Scenic Mountain Travels & Tours, Shivam Group of Holidays, Fishtail Tours & Travels, Exotic Desalination Nepal, Blue Bird Travels and Explore Kailash Treks.
