5 Tips To Control Your Anger
Anger is just like a fierce wild animal inside our head. Not everyone has the capability to control anger and those who are unable to control their anger have to regret. We get angry when something doesn’t meet our satisfaction, when things do not go our way, when someone without any reason comes and irritates us, when we are treated the way we’d never have preferred to; and there can be hundreds of more reasons for getting angry. Whatever the reason might be, if we are able to control our anger, things will go much better and easier way, problems will start to resolve and the best part: we will not have to regret on anything later. So, here’s a list of 5 tips to control your anger:
Count
Yes, count to 10 in your head or if the situation allows you, aloud too. Here, counting is not the important part; the important part is to take a deep breath with every count. This gives you time to relax, and your temper begins to calm down. If you feel like counting till 10 will not be enough time, take a longer break, without counting but yes, with deep breaths.
Express your anger
Express your anger but only when you are calm. Once, you’re calm you’ll have to let things out of your head to feel relieved. Talk to the person who is the reason of the headache but in a decent way. Try to solve problems from your side instead of making things more complex.
Think before you speak
Think before not only speaking but before every action you take when you’re angry. It’s the hardest thing to do when you are angry and is the main reason that you regret later on. So, practice every time you get angry. Try and think out how things really are and how and what should you be talking and doing.
Learn to Forgive
Until and unless you learn to forgive the mistakes of others, you’ll never be able to control your anger. The moment you forgive the person who made you angry you’ll start to feel relaxed and comfortable. From doing this, other people will also be aware of how they should behave or talk. We are humans and we do make mistakes, so learn to forgive.
Try and Relax
You have to take rest and give your mind peace to get rid of anger. How will your mind relax? You’re the one to decide that. Try breathing deeply or singing or walking or listening to your favorite music or talking to someone you like or doing some exercises or reading books; anything that works for you. Just try and relax so that your mind can also relax.
