5 Tips for Getting Pregnant |
Have Sex Regularly
You might be doing the same or you might be just doing the hit and trial thing. Having sex regularly prevents the chances of you missing any chance of getting pregnant. Many women face a problem of irregular period and for them it is really hard to decide about their time of ovulation. So, the best idea is to keep having sex as much as possible and don’t worry about it, more sex doesn’t really have any effects on your health.
Find your ovulation time
For those women who are blessed with very regular periods of 28-day cycles, the ovulation date for them is the 14 day from the first day of their periods. But I suggest not going with this ‘count to 14’ method. Use ovulation kits if you are irregular with your periods and even if you are regular.
While using ovulation kits you should know that most of the kits detect your ovulation time quite late than it actually starts. So, you should be regularly checking. The best time to check would be on day nine or ten after the start of period.
Another more reliable device is ClearPlan Easy which detects and signals ovulation date five days prior.
Have Sex Just Before the Ovulation
Having sex just before the ovulation, is really an important step that must be followed if you want to get pregnant. An egg survives for only 12 to 24 hours after the ovulation. So, the idea is to let the sperm meet the egg before it expires. So, you should have sex that day and the next two days too. One motivation behind this is when there’s optimum cervical mucus, it will help the sperm travel to the egg.
Enjoy your sex
Technically, it doesn’t help in getting pregnant, no. But psychologically and thus, eventually it does help. If you don’t enjoy your sex then it is highly likely that you easily give up. Another thing is, if you enjoy sex then you do it more which gives you more possibility of getting pregnant. As simple as that.
Keep Patience
Not every couple is lucky enough to get pregnant in their initial attempts. So, keep trying without losing patience and without getting frustrated. Because you are not the only one who is not getting instantly pregnant. About half of all couples get pregnant within six months, the rest half has to try sometime more. Try and master the steps explained above and if you are unable to conceive, go for tests. Good Luck.
