Gokarna

Gokarna is a lovely Royal Game Sanctuary, also known as Gokarna Safari Park. It lies about ten kilometers north east of Kathmandu city. It is situated on the bank of Bagmati river. Many wild life animals such as spotted deer and many birds can be viewed in the sanctuary from an elephant back. An entrance fee is charged at the gate for entrance to sanctuary. On the north side of the Gokarna, on the way to Sundarijal, is a Pagoda of Gokarneshwor Mahadev.
