As well as formulating policies and programmes to promote the welfare of the respective communities, they will also offer recommendation to the government for its implementation. The commissions are also entitled to review whether the government has implemented its commitments for the welfare of the respective communities.
The CA also approved a provision to form a federal commission to resolve disputes on provincial boundaries. The commission, to be formed within six months of statute promulgation, will make suggestions on the number and borders of the village council, municipal Council and special protected or autonomous regions which will be approved by the government.
