INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbsp - vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup - diced onion
- 1 tsp - minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp - chili powder
- 1/4 tsp - hot-red-chili-flakes
- 1/8 tsp - turmeric
- 1 - large tomato, diced
- 1/3 cup - water
- 1 tbsp - soy sauce
- 2 tbsp - red-wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp - pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat a small saucepan over medium. Add oil, then onion, garlic, chili powder, chili flakes and turmeric. Cook until onion starts to soften, 3 min. Add tomato, water and soy. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. simmer, uncovered, until tomato is soft and sauce is thickened, about 15 min. stir in vinegar and pepper.
