However, it is not as easy as you have thought it to be. Phone interview can easily makes you nervous as in one-to-one interview. Here are some of thr best tips which will help you to know How to Handle Phone Interviews:
- Use a landline phone as in landline calls you do not have to get worried about disconnected lines and dropped calls. This will not frustrate your interviewer as well as yourself.
- Take notes while you are being interviewed. This will help you to remember the things that were discussed earlier. However, do not keep on scribbling notes. This may distract you. Just jot down important points.
- It’s significant to spotlight on the interview and that can be harder on the phone than in-person. Be certain to listen to the question, ask for explanation if you’re not sure what the interviewer is asking, and speak unhurriedly, carefully, and clearly when you react. It’s fine to take a few seconds to create your thoughts before you answer.
- Ask for the interviewer’s email address, if you don’t previously have it. Send out an email thank you note right away, thanking the interviewer and repeating your interest in the job.
- Be ready to talk about why you’re at present looking for work; what skills you have that meet the position requirements; and whether your pay supplies fall within the hiring range. There may also be questions relating to your job constancy or why you changed from job to job.
- Take a short instant to gather yourself before launching into the conversation. The call will usually be made during business hours and may take you by surprise. If that happens ask the caller to hold for a moment while you move to a quiet place.
