| 5 Tips For Healthy Eyes |
NEPAL TRAVEL BOOK, KATHMANDU: Every organ in human body is, at one point or other, the most important organ. But Eyes are more important than the most important ones. Even imagining of not being able to see is not possible. So, to see things or to see things to its clearest, it’s really very vital to take care of your eyes. We all know about going for a regular eye check-up and washing eyes regularly with clear water, etc tips. Let’s check these 5 tips for healthy eyes, which I feel would be really helpful and new.
Maintain your weight
Being in right shape and weight is important when it comes to health. And this implies when it comes to your eyes health too. If you overweight, you are definitely prone to many diseases including diabetes and other common obese diseases. These sorts of diseases are found to be able to lead to vision loss. Diabetic eye disease or glaucoma is one good example.
No Smoking
Smoking is injurious to your health. Do not start smoking or quit if you smoke unless you want to suffer from eye problems. Yes, smoking can lead to many causes of blindness including age-related macular degeneration, cataract, and optic nerve damage.
Let them rest
Your eyes is just like any other part of your body; they get tired too if they have to work continuously for a long time. While watching TV, playing games on your screen and working on your computer, do not continuously look at the monitor which may lead to eyestrain. Take a break in about 20 minutes and then look around for about 20 seconds; better if you look 20 feet away from you.
Wear Shades
Shades are cool and moreover helpful for keeping your eyes healthy. The sun’s ultraviolet rays have direct effect on our eyes and wearing sunglasses can save our eyes from coming to the direct contact with it. However, not all the sunglasses can prevent all the ultraviolent rays from contacting our eyes. For that very reason, there are sunglasses capable of blocking 99 – 100 percent of UV-A and UV-B radiations, available.
Eat what you eyes prefer
Almost all kinds of vegetables are good for our eyes. We’ve heard of carrots, there are more. Spinach, kale, collard greens and every fruit or vegetable having dark leafy greens are very caring to our eyes. If you don’t want to rely on just vegetables, you can eat fish like salmon, tuna and halibut which have omega-3 fatty acids in high amounts in them.
